Getting started on Avellum

What to do first, how the intake works, and what happens once a clinician has read it. Most of what people get stuck on comes down to doing two or three things in the right order.

Before you order

  • Have an Amway account?

The Amway Partner Store Discount applies when you open Avellum from the Amway partner store, or once you connect your Amway account and Amway confirms it. Connect it to Avellum and your Amway Partner Store Discount applies here. You will sign in at Amway, open Avellum from there, and confirm the connection when you land back. Do it before you pay.

  • Use the same email for both.

Avellum and Valdura find each other by email address. One email across both and everything lines up on its own.

  • Keep the Valdura account you already have.

Already have a Valdura account? Keep it and sign in with that email. Do not delete it to start over: deleting an account locks its email out of Valdura. If that email is not the one you use on Avellum, write to support@valdura.health so Valdura can match the two, rather than opening a second account. Other questions go to the same address.

Your consult

  • A treatment starts with its intake.

Press "Start your medical intake" on the treatment’s page. The intake is where a clinician reviews you. If you close the tab at any point, nothing is lost: sign in and go to avellumhealth.com/visit/next to pick up where you left off.

  • Choose everything you want in one intake.

The cellular peptides all go through a single exam, so select them together in that one pass. Weight management medication has its own exam, which is normal, and one order carries one of them.

  • Save your card when it offers.

You enter a card during the intake. Saving it makes the second exam much quicker if you are doing two.

  • At the end, choose "Continue with Avellum".

It takes you back to your visits page and shows you what is next. "Close" simply ends the session, and everything is still waiting for you at avellumhealth.com/visit/next.

  • Doing two visits? The second one asks everything again.

Each visit's intake starts from scratch, so you enter your details and medical history again, even if you already gave them for another visit. Your earlier answers stay with the care team, who can give you a copy.

  • Care coaching comes with your treatment.

It comes up in the middle of the intake, right after you add your card, and reads like an add-on. It is not. Once you have started a treatment, care coaching is 24/7 support at no extra cost, and it is optional. Opt in during the intake or later from your care portal. A care coach is not a prescriber: medical questions go to the care team, who pass them to their licensed providers.

After you order

  • Two charges is right.

A blood panel and a treatment are two charges from two companies. On a card statement your panel reads VALDURA* AVELLUM and your medication reads OPNLP - AVELLUM. Panels bought on or before October 5, 2026, and some other payment methods, may show VALDURA HEALTH. You enter a card in both places.

  • Join Valdura after you order, not before.

The free time starts a new membership: at least 45 days with a panel, 30 with a treatment. If you are already paying for Valdura when you order, one month is credited instead once you choose Claim my Valdura credit in Your orders. You get it either way, and ordering first keeps it simple. A free Valdura account changes nothing.

  • Paying with HSA or FSA funds.

We do not bill insurance. Prescription treatments and lab work are generally eligible medical expenses, and rules vary by plan, so check with your plan administrator. We cannot tell you in advance whether a particular HSA or FSA card will go through at checkout, so the simplest route is to pay with your usual card and submit the receipt for the charge to your plan.

Your blood panel

  • The kit needs no appointment.

Please keep your box sealed for now. We're aiming to open collection on Tuesday, October 13, and we'll email you to confirm before you collect. If you've already collected, write to us at support@valdura.health and we'll tell you what to do with it. No lab visit, no prescription and no telehealth visit. The device sits on your upper arm and collects a small sample in about five minutes. Allow about 30 minutes in total, and mail it back the same day in the prepaid packaging. It is not for anyone under 18.

  • Kits ship October 13.

Every panel is a pre-order. If you chose pickup at FED in Las Vegas and did not collect your kit there, it is mailed to the shipping address you entered at checkout. Panel, kit, results and app questions all go to Valdura rather than the care team.

How a prescription gets written

  1. Step 1: You finish the intake.

Your health history, your goals, and the medications you already take. This is the part a clinician actually reads.

  2. Step 2: Your card is charged.

This happens at the end of the intake, before the review. It is not a sign of approval and it is not an error. It is how the care team takes payment once an intake is complete. The cancellation and refund policy is at avellumhealth.com/refunds.

  3. Step 3: A licensed clinician reviews your file.

In some states a clinician also sees you on a live video visit. A licensed provider decides whether a treatment is appropriate for you, and no medication is prescribed until they do.

  4. Step 4: The care team emails you with the decision.

Each visit is reviewed on its own, so if you have two you will hear about them separately.

  5. Step 5: If a clinician prescribes, a licensed pharmacy fills it.

Your medication ships as a 28-day supply, cold-chain with tracking, with the syringes, needles and swabs you need in the box. It then bills every 28 days while the therapy continues.

Your Valdura month

  • It follows your purchase, not the decision.

The included month is set going when your card is charged, not when a prescription is written. If a clinician prescribes, you have it. If they decide the treatment is not right for you, you still have it. It is not taken back.

  • No payment step means no charge, and the month is still yours.

If the intake screening finds a reason not to go ahead, you never reach the payment step, so there is nothing to charge. Your first 30 days of Valdura are on us anyway, as a thank you for taking the step. Sign in and the link is waiting on your screening result. The blood panel stays open to you too, since it needs no prescription.

  • A running protocol credits your membership, if you ask.

While a treatment is active, Valdura credits your membership each month once you ask us to tell Valdura that you qualify: choose Claim my Valdura credit in Your orders. We tell Valdura nothing about your treatment until you ask. From then the credit lifts when the protocol ends, or when you stop it in your account. Valdura bills the membership, so questions about it go to them.

When the answer is no

We do not tell anyone which answer ruled them out, and that is on purpose: naming it only teaches the next person which box to tick differently. What we can say is that it nearly always comes down to one of four things.

  • A health condition that needs in-person care alongside this medication.
  • A medication or treatment that does not combine safely with this one.
  • Measurements outside the range this program is written for.
  • An age or location the program does not cover.

A few limits are published, so there is no guesswork about them. You need to be 18 or older. Sermorelin is not prescribed to anyone under 25. The GLP-1 weight management medications cannot be prescribed through Avellum in Mississippi or Louisiana, and the rest of the catalog stays open to you.

What happens next depends on where the no came from. If a clinician decided after your intake that the treatment is not right for you, write to support@avellumhealth.com with the name and email you used for your intake, and ask the care team about the decision and the charge. If the health questions ruled you out, that was a screening result, not a review of your file by a clinician, and you never reached the payment step. The care team works with patients once they have started a treatment, so a screening result is not reviewed a second time. A decision is about this medication and your health history together, not a judgment about you, and it can change if your circumstances do.

A service that approves everyone is not reviewing anyone.

Some people hearing no is the clearest sign that each intake is actually checked. The health questions screen first, and then a licensed clinician reads every completed intake and decides case by case. That is what the review is for.
