What happens next
- You need an Avellum account to start. The intake is a set of health questions with our care partner, and a clinician decides whether the medication is right for you. See who this may not be for.
- Your medication is charged when you finish your medical intake with our care partner, not here on Avellum, and every 28 days after that for as long as the therapy continues. The charge lands as you finish the intake, which is before a clinician has reviewed it: if the questions themselves rule you out, you never reach the payment step. You choose your treatment again inside the intake, and the charge reads OPNLP - AVELLUM on your card statement.

Prescription therapies are generally eligible medical expenses for HSA and FSA funds. Rules vary by plan, so check with your plan administrator. Submit the receipt for the charge to your plan.
The price is the same everywhere. A few medications cannot be prescribed in every state, so this tells you what is available in yours.

A baseline blood panel from Valdura, drawn at home, shows where you stand before you start a treatment and gives you a reference point to track against.
A blood panel also comes with at least your first 45 days of the Valdura app, and a treatment with your first 30.

One injection a week, on the same day each week. Many people take it in the evening. Your provider starts you on a low dose and may raise it every four weeks, depending on how you feel. At the highest doses, the weekly amount is split into two injections. On the microdosing program the dose is smaller, stays the same, and is taken once or twice a week.
Your provider sets your exact dose, and your prescription label always comes first.

Tirzepatide and semaglutide are prescribed in the same visit, one per order. Your clinician decides which, if either, is right for you.
Standard program or microdosing
You do not pick between them. Before your intake, a few questions, starting with your age, height and weight, place you in the standard weight management program or in microdosing, where the dose is smaller and stays the same. Your clinician confirms it at your visit.
